Project Wild | Nature Inspired Synergy

Our Wildlife Projects

Our Mission: Wildlife Conservation & Rehabilitation

At Project Wild, we believe that every animal deserves a second chance at life. Through our expertise in designing and creating prosthetic devices, we have successfully rehabilitated several animals back to their natural habitats.

Achilles

The First Rhino Prosthesis

It all started with Achilles, the amputated rhino. We were honored to build the world’s first rhino prosthesis in history, which turned out to be a tremendous success. Currently, Achilles is on his fourth prosthesis, and every time he grows, a new one has to be made for him. However, Achilles is accustomed to wearing his prosthesis every day, and he has become comfortable with the process.

Victor

The Bilateral Amputee Martial Eagle

Victor, a bilateral amputee Martial Eagle, has been living on a farm in Thabazimbi, South Africa. After his amputation eight years ago, his wound never properly healed. Victor continuously flapped his wings, which reopened the wound, making it challenging for the center to deal with. Therefore, we decided to build a device that covers the wound and provides protection when he flaps his wings. After fitting the device, Victor’s wound can now heal, and we can move into the second phase of his rehabilitation.

Moya

Cheetah Prosthetics

It all started with Achilles, the amputated rhino. We were honored to build the world’s first rhino prosthesis in history, which turned out to be a tremendous success. Currently, Achilles is on his fourth prosthesis, and every time he grows, a new one has to be made for him. However, Achilles is accustomed to wearing his prosthesis every day, and he has become comfortable with the process.

Upcoming Projects

Project Angel Wings

The Worlds First Prosthetic Wing

Our next project is Project Angel Wings, where we attempt to build the world’s first prosthetic wing to see if it will aid Bab, another amputated eagle on the same farm as Victor, back to flying again. Bab is amputated at the Aula of the wing, the tip of the wing. Before manufacturing the device, we will first determine the reason why Bab is not flying.

Community Project #2

A New Start for Stella the Puppy

Recently, we met with Stella, a four-month-old puppy who had her leg amputated. She is the dearest puppy and full of life and we want her to achieve everything she can. So we are attempting to create a prosthetic device to aid her in her growth.
